I love reading my sister's blog so I am going to start using this too. Maya is finally allowing me to have a couple of minutes througout the day to write a little. Well, things are going pretty good here in Michigan, it is starting to get pretty cold and yucky but the snow hasn't stuck yet. I can't wait until Spring already!
We have had some really good visits with our families the last couple of months since Maya was born. Nick's step-mom, Pat, came out for a visit in October - she was the first relative to meet Maya. It was fun to spend some time with her while Nick was working. We went to Babies R Us and Pat went wild buying some really cute outfits and a Halloween costume for the baby. This is the first grandchild on the Giordano side so she is already getting spoiled. She was a Pea in a Pod for Halloween and stayed in her costume just long enough to get a couple of pictures. My mom and dad came out to visit and we had such a great time. My mom ended up staying for close to 3 weeks because we hit a rough spot with Maya the "monster". She was such a great help to us. I think Maya was even looking around for Grandma after she left. We didn't do much outside of the house while they were visiting but it was fun to catch up and to just see them.
We are going to have a full house for Thanksgiving this year! Nick's family (Gramma, Papa, his dad Scott, Pat, and sister Jenna) will be visiting and we'll be cooking dinner in our disaster of a kitchen! Wish us luck. It will be great to be surrounded by family for part of the holidays. Nick has been working hard to finish the half bath before everyone comes out. It will be so nice to have 2 bathrooms to use. He put in tile slate on the floor a new door and installed floor/door molding. There is a new light fixture, fan, and light switch/outlets. It already looks so nice.
Well, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
