Family Trip to Toledo & the Livonia Spree

Nick and I decided it had been way too long since we had our own "family vacation" so we decided to take a weekend trip to Ohio. It was also time to celebrate our anniversary, which is June 25th - it will be 4 years since we got married!!

We left Saturday morning and after our stop at McDonalds it was off to Toledo! Our destination: the Toledo Zoo. First off, we saw the seals and the baby polar bears. Maya laughed whenever the seals would swim up by the glass. It was so cute! We spent about 4 hours there which was just long enough for M AND for us, we were tired and hot. Here are some pictures of our day at the zoo.

Before we took off...

Just Chillaxin' in her stroller

The Giraffes were my favorite, they had a baby one there also.

Maya loved the giraffes too, we couldn't get her to look at the camera.

We had a great time at the zoo...

Then we went to our hotel and took a swim, ate, and slept. Maya did great in her pack-n-play, she slept for nearly 11 hours straight! Hopefully she does that well in CA next week. Be prepared for more pics.

One day last week my friend Diana and I took her girls and Maya to the Livonia Spree. They have it every summer, basically the type of carnival where you feel like you're really risking your life each time you step on a ride. Maya went on her first carousel and LOVED it, she cried when Diana tried taking her off.
