Maya as the Michelin Man!

Well, the winter has hit us here in Michigan. We are in it for another 4.5 months, at least! Even though I hate the coldness winter brings I love all the cute little clothes Maya gets to wear. The other night we decided to go to Costco and it was FREEZING outside. I told Nick we had to put Maya in her snow-suit or else we weren't going. He proceeded to tell me that it was too big and puffy and that she wouldn't fit in her carseat properly if she wore it. We put it on her anyway and cracked up when we saw her.

She walked in it pretty well, considering how much fabric was hanging off of her. Here is a VIDEO, I will include some other cute pictures in it:

We ended up putting lots of layers on her instead and she was fine in the bitter, Michigan wind. She absolutely loves this scarf that I always wear and I caught her walking around with it around her neck yesterday. I put a couple of pictures in the video above. Thanks Maren for the scarf, we love it!

I have been trying for the last week to get a good shot of Maya for our Christmas cards this year. Our camera is really old now and takes literally 4-5 seconds to capture one shot! As you can imagine, I have a very hard time getting any pictures of Maya...she does not sit still for longer than 2 seconds. Not to mention she hated the santa hat I tried to make her wear. Here was my first attempt.

The second attempt turned out a lot better. I don't know how I got her to stay still for that long. She wasn't going for the santa hat.

.

I think we'll go with this one.

I just love this time of year - other then the yucky weather. I already finished shopping for my family and sent out the package yesterday!! Whoo hooo! Missy, we had Chad, Ellie, & Carson this year, right? I hope we got it right. My mom and dad always made this time of year so special for us growing up. I hope I can do the same for our little one.

Hope you all have a wonderful December!
