Wow, I can't believe the baby will be here any day. I am going insane looking at our house and all of the things we need to get done before my mom arrives on Wednesday and the baby comes. Nick volunteered to go on some errands for me but he probably just wanted to get away from the house! I don't remember being like this before Maya was born (only after...just ask Nick about the cat food incident) but I hear women go through this period right before a baby is born.
Maya has had a rough week. Part of me thinks she knows what's about to happen and part of me thinks it's just her being 2. She's fine when we stay home and hang out but I can't take her to the store, or anywhere for that matter, without having a constant battle with her. It's pretty frustrating when I need to get things done. We had to walk out of two stores this week after having shopped for an hour because of how many fits she had. It was so embarrassing and I can't believe how many dirty looks I got. It was ridiculous. So, finally I asked a friend to watch her while I went shopping. It was such a joy!!!
Our basement is coming along! The contractors started on Monday and I can't believe that not even one week later they're almost done. The drywall is up and now they are just waiting for the mud to dry. They will start sanding on Monday and Tuesday then they will be done and we can paint. The carpet will be installed in about three weeks. Can't wait! It's going to be so comfortable down there. If we didn't have kids I would totally move down there and sleep.
Well, blogging helped me a little bit. I will try not to drive my husband crazy for the rest of the day!
