Josh turns one on March 8th!

What a joy it has been to be the parents of this little man. We have loved every minute of it. He has been crawling and scooting all over the place and loves getting into everything from my diaper bag to the garbage can in the bathroom (ew!). He also loves to be a little pest to Maya and whenever she is playing with something he will make his way over to try and get a peek or share it with her. We celebrated on Sunday night because we were home all day and had some pizza leftovers from the night before...PARTAY ANIMALS! Poor Josh couldn't eat any because of his milk allergy. Then we had a carrot cake with dairy free frosting and some coconut milk ice cream. Josh loved the dessert but ended his birthday dinner in another allergic reaction. Maybe from the coconut? We are having him tested tomorrow at his 1 year checkup to see what else he is allergic to. It will be nice to know.

That night we also let him open his presents, he wasn't very excited but Maya sure was! She kept saying, "do you think Josh will share with me?" She was a great helper in unwrapping the gifts but had to reminded that it was Josh's birthday, not hers. Thanks to everyone for your birthday wishes and the presents that were sent for our little guy. Can't believe he is one!

It has been awesome having my mom in town to spend time with. We had a rough week with sick kids and Nick being out of town so it has been wonderful to have an extra set of hands around here. I haven't done one load of laundry in over a week! Today after we picked up Maya from school we headed to Subway for lunch and then off to the zoo for a few hours. The weather was beautiful today! Then we took Josh to Portrait Innovations to get his pictures done. Boy was he tired, I thought he'd sleep more in the car but he only got 20 minutes in. He was still adorable and warmed up to the photographer a couple of minutes into the session. Oh! I almost forgot! We picked me up a sewing machine a couple of days ago and while Maya was in school my mom helped me start a few projects. It's not nearly as scary as I thought it was. So, we've been busy with grandma.

Here are a few pictures of our birthday boy. I love him!!! These aren't the cropped ones, just the original shots that were put on a CD for us. I wanted to post some pictures from Sunday and his birthday dinner at Red Robin yesterday but I can't find the camera attachment so it'll have to wait.

We love you JB!

Happy Birthday Josh... He is such a gorgeous child...so handsome.
Glad you have had some help over the last little while. I can imagine how rough that week without Nick and sick kids was. Let me know what the doc says about Josh's allergies. Poor boy. Where has the last year gone??? Love ya buddie! :D
