Progress already!

We met with the Physical Therapist and a representative from a medical supply company called Wright and Fillipis last Monday. We found out that J wouldn't need ankle braces and arch supports would be sufficient at this point. So after a week of waiting for our appointment, we were able to pick up the inserts on Tuesday. That night Josh actually used ones of his walker toys, something that he has never done before. He has been able to stand up to furniture for awhile and he will practice walking with one of us, but the push toys always went too fast for him. His upper body is ready to move quickly but his legs aren't so he never felt comfortable playing with those toys. Today he has been playing more with the push toys and pulling himself up on EVERYTHING, even Maya. This morning we were standing in the hallway and he was looking through the closet, he turned around and let go of the shelf and stood there for 2 seconds!! I was so excited and had to text Nick about his progress!

While speaking with the doctor on Tuesday I asked how long he expected to see results with Josh and he said Josh should be walking within 30 days. I was VERY skeptical when I left but, really, we have seen so much progress in 2 days, I guess anything is possible! I would be thrilled if he was just standing with less support in 30 days.

While physically he is a little slower, he has been talking up a storm and getting tons of teeth. I think he's up to 13 teeth now, which means he's a booger at night time! Last night I got fed up and just brought him into bed with me. This morning he was sitting on top of me, "talking" and using his little hands as he would converse with me. Then he'd start laughing at whatever he was saying! It was a fun way to get up, then I remembered how he was all night.

Well, that's it for now. We are getting ready for out trip to CA next week! I can't wait to get to the beach and hang out with our family. I'll try and get a video of Josh walking with his toy soon.

This is the face you get when you tell J to say 'cheese'. Great, now I have two kids who won't smile normal for a picture!

My little buddy

That's fantastic news that he is doing so well. Each kid is so different in their development... Josh isn't walking yet, but talks up a storm.. Luke is walking and running EVERYWHERE but at 15.5 months still doesn't say a single word...not ONE... It's all because I moved away. LOL... if our boys were together, Luke woulda taught Josh to walk by now, and Josh would have Lukes vocabulary through the roof. LOL...
Have fun in CA! I'm heading to NYC for 5 days with my best friend from London... girls week.. YAY!
