Since school started last month, Maya has been very interested in drawing. She constantly has her little black notebook and is practicing writing her letters, her name, or drawing pictures. She is getting sooo good, too! She has never had much patience for learning letters and retaining anything I tried to teach her, but she seems to be more interested in it now. I love seeing what she comes up with in her drawings. I hope my mom doesn't see this post because here is the gift Maya sent for her upcoming birthday. She calls them her "colorful cats." They are realy creative and cute. Grandmas, aunts, etc. you better order yours soon! :)

Just cute...
Maya participated in her very first Primary Program today. The kids at church present the different themes they covered throughout the year to the parents and other ward members. We didn't think Maya would dare get up in front of everybody, but she did it! Her part was, "I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me because they gave me my family." I was told that she came up with her own part, which made it even more special. It was so cute to see her up in the front row with the other Sunbeams(3 year olds)"singing" the songs, but mostly she was waving, making binoculars out of her hands, giving me the thumbs up sign, winking at us, and putting her necklace on top of her nose. I loved hearing her voice through the microphone - I cried and everything. Josh saw her about halfway through the program and waved a few times. He was proud too.
