It's March!

I was so happy to say goodbye to February, and move on to March. This cold weather is really getting to me this year. I can't wait for warm days at the park, or just going for a walk around the block. Regardless of the weather, we are still keeping busy. Maya has preschool on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and swimming lessons on Thursday mornings. She just moved up from the "Water Basics" group to the "Red" group, mainly because she finally put her head under the water. She fought her teacher on this for the first 5 weeks last session, and finally decided to do it on the final day of class. It had a lot to do with the ice cream I bribed her with. :) Whatever works! Today was the first day of her new class and she seems to be the most timid student in the class. She went under without any bribery though!

Josh gets pretty bored while we wait for Maya to finish class. Today he was crawling all over the nasty floor pretending to be a dog. It was pretty cute. We got him into a little class too, it is on Monday mornings while Maya is in school. This past week they focused on baseball and all of the kids got to hit baseballs off of a tee. So fun to watch him get excited about it!

Being a puppy.

Nothing else too exciting to share. I'm thankful I get to stay home with my sweet babies and I treasure every day with them. I can't keep track of all the cute/clever things that Maya comes up with. The other day we were playing at an indoor play area, all of the kids left so we had the place to ourselves. Maya said, "Oh wow mom, everyone left so now it's fresh for me!" Another day I was helping her with something and she said, "Mom, thanks for your help. It really appreciates me." Cute girl. She is CONSTANTLY asking questions, and is very inquisitive. She doesn't usually let anybody else have a chance to talk. We have been working with her on that though, and always explain that if two people are talking you can't cut in and say what you want to say. She is getting better. Funny because she is still pretty shy outside of our house.

Josh is equally entertaining with his little personality. Some days he has so much attitude, other days he is the sweetest baby boy ever. He can't stand it when we are upset with him for hitting, yelling, etc. so he will rub your face with his hand and give kisses to make things all better. We went to Toys "R" Us on Tuesday to look at toys for his birthday and he was hysterical! He'd find something interesting and drag me over to take a look. Then he'd walk around the next aisle with his hands in his pockets like a big boy. I can't believe he turns 2 in a few days! Where did the last year go?
