2 weeks old!
Our little sweetie is already 2 weeks old. She is such a joy to be around. I love watching her as she sleeps, which she does a lot. She makes the cutest faces! Everyone is starting to get back to somewhat of a normal routine. Josh has regressed a little bit and won't use the potty, but I think he will come out of it soon. He LOVES Cora so much. Whenever I walk into the room with her he makes kissy sounds and wants me to bend down so he can give her a big juicy kiss. He is all over her all day long! Maya has been a huge help and is so sweet with the baby as well. This morning I came into my bedroom and my two girls were snuggling on the bed. It made me so happy to see that. Life with 3 kids is definitely hectic! It doesn't help that Nick is gone so much for work, but I am surviving.
We had a really good time with my parents in town. My mom was here for 2 weeks and my dad was able to come out for a long weekend. We didn't do too much, but did fit in some activities. (Kensington farm and lake, go-cart racing, G & P took kids to a movie and swimming at the Rec. center, dinner at Leo's, and a few other things) I guess we did do quite a bit considering Cora is brand new. My parents were so awesome to just take the kids in the yard and play with them for us so we could enjoy the baby. We appreciated their help so much!
Cora is doing really well. She sleeps all day long with some wake up time in the morning and a fussy time in the evening before going to bed at 10pm. She wakes up anywhere between 1-3 times at night, so I have been going to bed when she does to stay on top of sleep. When we left the hospital the doctors were a bit concerned about her weight loss as she went from 8 lbs. 8 oz. to 7 lbs 12 oz. in a 24 hour period. So we set up a one week appointment with our doctor to see if she was gaining weight. We went on Wednesday and she was back up to 8 lbs. 8 oz.. She loves to eat!! I can't believe how big she already looks in just a short amount of time. I want her to stay this small forever, but at the same time I am not a huge fan of the newborn stage.
I'm just grateful that my emotions are getting back on track and my body isn't as sore anymore. It's amazing what a few weeks will do...when I nurse now it doesn't hurt as bad and I don't feel like jumping through the roof when she latches on. :)
Now for some pictures:

Such sweet pictures, I love the one of the three of them snuggling on the bed... how sweet! I'm glad you're starting to feel better and getting more into a routine! I can imagine it taking me a lot longer than 2 weeks :) let me know if I can help with anything :)
