Gammie G and Papa Scott Visit!
Wow, I was quite the drama queen in my last post. I really shouldn't be allowed to post when I am overly-stressed out. We had family coming in for a visit and I went crazy thinking that everything had to look perfect, even though our visitors didn't care about how our house looked. I am feeling a lot better about life now. Little Cora is starting to get on a pretty good schedule. She takes about 4 naps a day now, most of them in her crib. She sleeps on average about 8-9 hours through the night, up for a feed, then another few hours. It's great! She is getting so chunky and fun. I love snuggling with her when she is calm and giving huge smiles.
Nick's dad and step-mom came out for a visit this past weekend. Everyone (minus Cora and myself) climbed into the car and went to pick up Maya at school. They were all waiting outside for her when class was dismissed. I can only imagine how special she felt! They requested Jet's Pizza for their first night here (of course!), and we just caught up. During dinner Josh said, out of nowhere, when there was a pause in the conversation, "Well, my OTHER grandma always takes me to the Dollar Store." We all started laughing. I guess he was giving gramma Pat a hint. The rest of the weekend we spent going on a girl's only shopping day, spending the evening at an Apple Orchard, playing in the basement, eating yummy food, and what would a weekend of fun be without a trip to the ER? I always forget how bad Josh's breathing gets in October. He got a small cold which escalated into terrible coughing spells as well as having a difficult time breathing. Nick and his dad ran him to the ER when he started coughing and wheezing really bad one night - he ended up vommitting in the car. We stayed home the rest of the weekend because the cold weather/wind seems to make it worse. It was a very relaxed weekend and it was wonderful to catch up with Gammie and Papa.
Wearing their twin outfits.
We love having visitors!
