Maya wasn't very excited about starting a new school year. She said she loved her summer so much and that she didn't want to go back to school and have a new teacher. She loved her Kindergarten teacher. After 2 weeks of school she is starting to get back into the rhythm and I think she realizes that even though her new teacher isn't the same as her old one she still has a lot of really good qualities. I went to the curriculum/open house at the school on Tuesday night and I spoke with her new teacher for awhile and I think she's great! I'm looking forward to another great school year at an awesome school. Maya was bummed that most of her girlfriends were split up into different classrooms, but she already has a few new friends and she plays with her old friends at recess. She seems to be adjusting really well to first grade. Here's our little sweetie:
She turns 7 in ten days....my little baby.
