Spring

Spring is finally here! It's in the 50's now and we have had a few days in the 70's. It has been wonderful!

We went to the park with some friends the week before Easter and had our own easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun and I loved the fact that the kids weren't fighting with greedy strangers for eggs like last year. The kids get along really well and were so sweet together. Josh and Luke were even finding eggs for each other and sharing. Cora picked up 4 or 5 eggs and then realized each one had candy in them. So instead of hunting for more she decided to open them on the spot. I guess she has a major sweet tooth like her big sister!

We had a great time watching General Conference this year! Normally we turn the TV on and see how long it takes before everyone starts arguing before we turn it off, but this time we were prepared and it paid off. Cora slept for the first sessions on both Saturday and Sunday, which helped us a lot. She is so busy and it's definitely more difficult to focus on the speakers when she is awake and being naughty. I did the "Apostle Bag" activities for the kids and they loved it. Basically a different quiet activity every time a new apostle went up to speak. I will say that this worked better for Maya. Josh would get bored after 4-5 minutes and would whine for another bag to open. Other than that though, I'd say it was a successful conference! Of course we had a lot of yummy foods and junk that we all enjoyed.

Conference pictures. Nick picked up some doughnuts for us on Saturday morning. Josh got his very own special kind that were warm and homemade.

Easter was pretty low key this year. The kids wanted to have a sleepover with us on Saturday night, so after some snacks and TV we separated and went to bed somewhat early. Boys together and girls together, minus Cora. She's still too little for a sleepover. The next morning the kids found their Easter baskets and had fun with their special treats, book, and toy. We had a nice day at church, oh and the weather was BEAUTIFUL! Sunny and high 70's! So Nick BBQ'd some kabobs for us and they were delicious. The kids all looked adorable in their new Sunday clothes.

I love my sweet family! We are so blessed.
