Nothing New

We haven't had anything too exciting happen over the last couple of weeks. Nick has been studying more for the GMAT and every now and then he plays golf. I noticed that ever since he started golf up again he is outside practicing his swing more. Sometimes he takes Maya out there to watch him. It's so cute to see them both out there. Maya loves the grass and leaves and she especially loves dirt! Well she sticks everything and anything in her mouth and the other day I saw her chewing on something so I squished her cheeks together and out popped one of my ear plugs! I use them every night because of Nick's snoring and it must have fallen off of my nightstand. Gross, right!?!

M is now pulling herself up to a standing position on everything. Whenever she wakes up from a long nap or when she's up in the morning, I go in her room and she is standing there waiting for me with a huge smile. It is so dang cute! We finally had to move the matress down a couple of notches so she can't fall out of the crib. Here she is:

I have been busy trying new baby food recipes and adult ones too. I love cooking and finding new cook books at the library! We try and walk over there at least once a week. I feel like Maya is getting a bigger variety and I feel better about knowing what is going in her belly.

I cannot believe how spoiled Maya is! We spoke with Nick's grandparents on Sunday and they asked that we get a registry together for her first birthday and I am already starting to think about different ideas for her party. I wish we could be back home to have it with all of our family and Maya's cousins but at least my parents will be in town. We just can't believe she's going to be one already! Where did that year go? Here are just some random pictures that I liked.

I found this little bonnet while cleaning out M's dresser.

She is too cute!

As my mom is well aware, my cats drive me crazy sometimes! All the shedding, meowing at 5 AM, scratching the nice dresser in Maya's room, etc. etc. but then I see them together like this and remember that I really do have a soft spot for animals. I need to be more patient with them.

She loves the tub!!

Tara, we need to get together! I can't believe your cute girl is going to be one. She is truly one of the cutes babies I have ever seen. Can you believe the horrible humidity?
