A Great Visit!

Maya's Birthday, Visit with Grandma & Grandpa, Cedar Point

We had a great visit with my parents last week and miss them already. Here is a rundown of what we did.

Monday- my mom arrived at 10:00 pm, stayed up talking for a couple of hours.
Tuesday- played with Maya when she woke up then spent the rest of the day birthday shopping at Kohl's and Babies R Us. Had chinese take out for dinner, yummy!
Wednesday- Shopped again at Target. Took naps and ate a lot.
Thursday- Picked up party favors for Maya's birthday party on Sunday. Took my mom to IKEA and ate their yummy food.
Friday- Hung out at home and played with Maya
Saturday- Nick and I went to Cedar Point Amusement park with the Smith's and my mom stayed home to watch M. It was fun to get out of the house but frustrating to sit in line and have EVERY ride break down. We were there for 6 hours and only got on 3 or 4 rides. My dad came in this night and so my mom went to pick him up at the airport with Maya. I guess she screamed the whole way home because she didn't recognize him. What a fun ride home!
Sunday - My mom and dad stayed home from church and watched Maya for us. What a relaxing day, maybe it'll be like that when she is in nursery. I had to teach Sharing Time in Primary and usually Maya is crawling around the room getting into everything so this Sunday was EASY! Maya warmed up to my dad and was "flirting" with him all day. That night we had Maya's early birthday dinner and she had her first piece of chocolate cake. How did she eat it? Face-first of course!! She opened up some of her presents and we took lots of pictures.
Monday- We went to this place called Kensington Farm and saw all of the farm animals. Jet's Pizza for dinner!
Tuesday- Went to the Detroit zoo, I wasn't that impressed. I like the Toledo zoo much better. Maya loved it though.
Wednesday- Hung out with my parents. Went to Jimmy John's for dinner and picked up a dozen donuts from Looney Baker. Now it's time to go on a diet!
Thursday- Had to say goodbye. We can't wait until the next visit!
