So, as you may remember from previous posts, Maya has been sick for what seems like FOREVER. The doctor originally told us it was a cold and she'd have to fight her way through it. Well when she started having a bad cough last week both Nick and I got nervous. The cough sounded terrible, almost as if there was fluid inside of her lungs. We ended up taking her to the Urgent Care facility on Sunday and found out she has an ear infection. We've been giving her amoxicilan every day and she has completely turned around! She is almost back to 100% and I couldn't be happier! She is also back to sleeping through the night which is AWESOME. Over the past couple of weeks she'd wake up and stay up for about 2 hours just crying. It was pretty frustrating. Also, her appetite has returned! There is nothing like preparing something for your child just so they can turn their head away or throw it on the floor...well, I guess that's pretty normal for a toddler but normally Maya is an excellent eater. She could eat a whole head of broccoli if we let her!
Nick started school this week and he seems to enjoy his classes so far. We miss him at home but know he is doing what's best for him and our family. Having his masters degree will bring a lot of opportunities our way. (I hope, anyway) He loves wearing his U of Michigan sweatshirt and t-shirts, it's so stinking cute!
Here are some pictures from Christmas...

Oh am glad Maya is feeling better. I can only imagine how not fun it is to have a child ill. How was Christmas? Your pics are way cute. Maya is getting so grown up!
Go see that movie soon! I'd fly out to see it with you if I had the $$. =)
I'm so glad Maya is doing better. I thought Benjamin got a lot of Christmas presents, but it looks like Maya made out like a bandit! Now that she's feeling better, Benjamin will have to come over and check all that fun stuff out! ;)
