Finally, an update!

We got to see our new little baby today! I was so relieved to see that little heart beating and to watch him/her swim around. We are so grateful to be parents again and just hope and pray everything will go smoothly as it did with little Maya.

I have had a hard time blogging lately, well I should say doing anything on the computer because Maya will not let me use it without showing her pictures of her friend "Ben". My friend, Michelle, (Benjamin's mom) posted a video of the two of them playing together and dancing/singing and she just cannot get enough of it. She is napping right now so I thought I better take advantage of this quiet time.

We are excited that my in-laws, Scott and Pat, will be coming into town next weekend. We love having visitors (hint) and really enjoy showing them around our neck of the woods. People always choose to come in the late fall/winter and I have no idea why! It's Michigan for crying out loud! It'll be good to have warm weather and to do some fun outdoorsy things with our visitors next weekend.

I am feeling much better, most of the time. Usually about one day a week I hit a rough spot and just need to be close to my friend, the toilet. :) Maya has really been great about entertaining herself when I have those moments - I have really come to appreciate that about her. She continues to improve on her vocabulary and it seems like everyday she has a new saying or word that she'll repeat over and over. She likes to walk into a room and say, "Hi Guys, how doin'?" And she is always concerned about the kitties, she constantly walks around the house while yelling, "PIPPEN...ARE YOU??" ("Where are you?") I can't believe we're going to have another little Maya to take care of soon, I guess it didn't really hit me until I saw him/her today. I have a lot of emotions going on inside of me - I am SUPER excited to have another baby and just so grateful, but I can't imagine Maya not being my little baby anymore. I just can't see her as a big sister yet and I know this is normal as you have your 2nd child but it's definitely going to take some adjusting.

Well, that's all for now. I will try and be better about updating my blog...my mind has just been going non-stop for the last month or two. This has actually been kind of therapeutic!
