We had SUCH a great visit with Nick's dad and step-mom, Scott and Pat, this past weekend. They got in on Thursday night and the fist thing we decided to do was order Jet's Pizza! Nick's dad had been remembering it from his last visit and was thinking about it all day. It was really funny. That night we just hung out and caught up, Maya warmed up really fast to both of them and even gave Papa Scott a kiss...on the lips!! She doesn't warm up to guys very quickly so I was surprised that she would give him kisses on the first night, and even more surprised because he has a mustache :)
We crammed so much stuff into 4 days! I was very grateful that I wasn't sick the whole time and that Maya let us drag her to everything we wanted to go see. We spent a couple of hours at the Detroit Zoo, Kensington Park/Petting Farm, the boys went golfing twice, the girls went on a mini-shopping spree, dinner at J. Alexanders (minus the little one, don't worry she got to play with Benjamin), and just hung out at home watching the Olympics and cheering on Shawn Johnson!! Gramma Pat took Maya for a ride in her bike trailer and we thought she got lost because they were gone for so long. I'm thankful that Pat is such a fun Gramma and kept Maya busy for the weekend so we could just take it easy. For the past 2 days Maya has been walking around the house going, "G'amma? (where) Are you??" I wish we lived closer to everyone!!
Here are some pictures from our great weekend. I am also including some pictures I took at the park this morning. Maya looked so cute! She found these little red shoes in her closet and even though they are too big on her she has to wear them everywhere.
