I am so excited this morning! Every day when Maya gets up we put her on the potty and tell her that's where she needs to go "pee pee" or "poopies". I spent the other day putting her on the toilet (about 30 times) to try and really get her used to it and then yesterday we were busy running errands so I wasn't as consistent. When she showed resistance to sit down today I was ready to give up already...mostly because we have somewhere to be at 9:00 and I didn't want a tantrum. I'm so happy Nick was encouraging for her! She sat on the potty and was only there for a couple of minutes and then she went PEE PEE!!! Nick and I were both jumping up and down with excitement, she must've thought we were nuts. She is far from being trained but at least she knows what it feels like to go outside of her diaper.

As for other news, we had a great Labor Day. Nick went bike riding in the morning and then we headed off for the outlet stores. We found some cute clothes and shoes for Maya's birthday but it was so busy. Duh, I don't know what we were thinking to go on Labor Day. It was fun to be together though. Then we went to Cracker Barrel for lunch and Maya did such a good job. Usually we get take out or just eat at home because going to a restaurant is just asking for trouble. M was waving at everyone and after being sick for nearly 2 weeks FINALLY got her appetite back. When her Macaroni and Cheese came out she picked up her fork and started chowing down. I can't tell you how happy this made us. Here is a video of Maya saying her new favorite word, "Dangit!".

Woo Hoo for peeing in the potty!!!I couldn't hear the sound on your video. Maya is growing so much, she looked so much bigger just after the month I was gone. Tara, we need to hang out friend!!!
Boy, you know you're a parent when you're posting pics of urine filled toilets on your blog! :) We missed you at the library today. Hope you still plan on joining the class! I got there only 30 minutes into registration and was already the 6th one to sign up!
