An Exhausting Week

We are all pretty worn out around here and it's not why you are probably thinking...it's not from this little guy:

Josh is 11 days old now and so far has been a little angel. We really do love him so much and have really enjoyed having him in our home. He has been sleeping great at night and usually only wakes up once or twice to eat. One night he slept 5 hours straight! He's doing great, we are hoping things continue to go well with him because someone else has been VERY difficult! Can you guess the next person I'm talking about!?!

Maya has had such a hard time adjusting to all of the changes. She throws fits about everything and doesn't even acknowledge her little brother. I guess this is all pretty normal but I so miss my little girl. My mom and I are usually worn out by the end of the day because she is such a handful. She also decided that she doesn't need to nap anymore. We try every day to put her down and she just sits in her room and plays. I am not giving up on naps! We are trying to spend as much time with her as possible but it doesn't seem to help her behavior. If anyone has tips pass them on PLEASE!

Joshua is so adorable. Such a cutie... My little man better be just as cute or cuter, otherwise I won't be able to be your friend anymore. LOL. Just kidding :D
As for Maya, Tara, we have had this conversation before ~ She is an absolute ANGEL, so you must once again be pinching her or provoking her in some way. LOL. No, seriously, I hope she adjusts soon.. it must be so tiring. Hope to see you soon. :D

Tara - so fun to have a new baby. I'm sorry to hear about Maya - I can only imagine how confused she is. Just give her time. She will get used to him.

When you need to help Josh, I'm sure you usually say to Maya. Not right now, or I have to change a diaper or feed him. Whatever it might be, you probably tell Maya that you need to assist him. Well, here's a suggestion. When you need to help Maya with something, tell Josh that you can't hold him because you need to help Maya. Do it with most things and that will help out. Also, make sure Maya asks for things without whining. For instance, if she starts to whine for something, stop her and ask her to say it like...Mommy, I need.... Good LUCK I hope this helps!
