Adjusting to real life....

So my parents went home on Tuesday. I got a little freaked out that I would be spending the next couple of days alone with my 2 kids without any help! It really did scare me to think that I was on my own. Maya gave me the best present ever and had one of her best days after we dropped my parents off at the airport. She has had a pretty good 4-5 days so I guess you could say I see the light at the end of the tunnel! I'm sure someday she'll love her little brother but right now she just wants nothing to do with him and sees him as a pretty big threat. She is improving with her temper tantrums and only has a handful each day.

Josh is doing great! We love him so much. I definitely appreciate what a good baby he is...so sweet and quiet most of the time. This week (week #4 for him) he has found his voice though and does cry when he's upset. It is usually pretty simple to calm him down when he gets a little fussy. He is still a good eater and usually eats every 3 hours or so, we are lucky to get a 4 hour stretch at night time. We ended up moving him from his bassinet in our room to his crib in his own room. He is such a noisy little sleeper! He likes to grunt all night which would wake us up - so now we are all getting better sleep.

We had a wonderful visit with my parents. They helped us out big time with our basement and getting everything prepped so that carpet could be installed on Monday. The basement looks awesome and I know we are going to use the space a lot. I will take some pictures and post those soon. We went to a local petting farm and Maya had a great time seeing all of the animals. We can't wait to take her to the zoo! Here are some pictures from their visit. I didn't take very many because of how stressed out I was with Maya's meltdowns! I wasn't really in the mood to capture those moments.
