Guess who is pretty much potty trained!?!? This is Maya answering, "I AM! I AM!"
"She's a Big Kid NOW!"
I was worried about starting with the potty training because the last time we did it she had a hard time. Mostly I was just being lazy and just kept putting it off. I ran out of diapers for her last week and decided it was time to start and just stick with it! She is doing awesome and is now telling me when she has to go instead of me asking her constantly if she has to go. At first we had to bribe her with a treat box. If she went she'd get to pick a toy or candy out of the box. I started to worry when she went 10 times in one day. This was going to be an expensive adventure! After awhile though she just started to forget about the treat box and we'd just jump up and down when she'd go. I think she appreciates all of the positive attention more than the treats. So now she doesn't have to be bribed :)
Josh will be 8 weeks this Sunday! Time is flying by and I am loving my little boy more and more everyday. He is smiling more but it's pretty difficult to get a big one out of him. Here are the many faces of our little guy:
We had an interesting night on Monday. Nick got home from work and was bringing in the empty garbage cans. He put them on the side of the garage and got a whiff of something pretty awful. He looked around and then saw where it was coming from. For some reason animals are attracted to our house and garbage cans...do you see where I'm going with this? Inside of one of our garbage cans was a huge possum and about 10of her babies floating in a pool of water. They like to climb into our garbage cans and sleep in the garbage but this time they got into an empty can, it rained for about a week, and the nasty things couldn't get out! I felt bad but also it made me sick to my stomach. Nick had to clean it out, poor guy. We are going to invest in some bungee cords to keep the lids attached to the can! Pretty crazy stuff.
Bye!

Apparently it's obvious that I am very pregnant and hormonal... I read your possum story and nearly cried... that's a very sad story. :(
