Josh waited patiently on the floor
Then we got our jammies on and left the treats out for Santa and his reindeer. Off to bed! Maya was a little scared about Santa coming in to our house during the night, I wish we never said anything about it. Poor thing. She kept saying, "is he in our house now?" She slept pretty good though.
Santa and Rudolph came!
Waiting at the top of the stairs
Officially a Disney Princess now
Nick was tortured by getting a few PS3 games...he doesn't have the console yet.
Me and my kiddos
Josh was so cute trying to open his presents. He did a great job for only being 9 1/2 months!
More LPS!
That night we went to our friend's house for dinner and had a great time. We were sad to be away from our families in Utah and California, they mean the world to us, but we are very grateful for good friends to spend the holidays with. Here are 2 pictures I got from the night:
All the girls
Nick, Shane, & Kellen
Thanks for having us over Dangerfield's!
We tried to get a good family photo before dinner that night since we were all dressed up and Maya actually had some curl in her hair. Some of them turned out but Josh is always watching Maya and won't look at the camera. Man, he loves her!
Maya has really turned into a little "home-body". Whenever we try and go anywhere, EVEN SOMEWHERE FUN, she says stuff like, "well, maybe after I finish this project" or "maybe we can try to go a little later". I don't think she realizes that when we have appointments to get to (or school for that matter) we can't really go later. I try and explain but she still doesn't quite get it. I don't know where she came up with the project line but it cracks me up everytime. Anyway, I'm glad she feels happy in our home and that she can find enough toys to play with and things that will entertain her/us. She got so much stuff for Christmas this year that we decided it was time to de-clutter on Saturday, this is where our "project" comes in. I asked Nick if he would go pick up some of those nice steel shelves from Home Depot and put them in our laundry room so I could store some of the kids' toys in there and just have more usable storage. Well, whenever Nick takes on a project he does an AWESOME job. He decided it wouldn't cost much to hang drywall up in our laundry room and make it look a little nicer. Also, the wall that is shared with the basement living area and the laundry room needed an outlet so why not put one of those in as well? Can I just say I LOVE having a handy husband!?! He is the best. Here are some before pictures and midway pictures...
This was/is a nasty room, I never liked spending time in there which is a shame because it is a big area and could really be utilized. (Wall #1)
(Wall #2)
Wall #1 drywalled. Loving it already! Wall #2 hasn't been worked on yet.
There was nothing here before and now we have a usable outlet...amazing.
We hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas because we sure did. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and that we have the Christmas season to reflect on our lives and all of our blessings. Have a safe and Happy New Year!
