Scrunchy Faces

When our kids hit the 9 month mark something inside of them goes, "Hmmmm, it would be funny if I scrunched up my nose and breathed really loud, everyone would get a kick out of it." Here is Maya at 9 months, I'm sure you'll notice she had no teeth, making this face even more hilarious:

Josh's scrunchy face (he's been doing it for about a month now) usually isn't as extreme as Maya's but it's very cute:

Our little J-Boy is feeling much better and it shows. He has been on the antibiotics for almost a week now and in that week he has become more active. His legs have always been like wet noodles but over the past few days he has been really trying to stand and crawl. He'll get it soon. He has also been so much more smiley! I love it. You can tell he is feeling much better now even though before we knew he was sick he was still pleasant to be around.

Here are some pictures we took the other night when we were hanging out as a family.

After Josh was born we had the hardest time getting her to even put her arm around him. I can't recall who told me this but somebody said, "She'll get used to him and she won't even remember what it was like without him around." It is sooo true! She loves playing with him and because it wasn't an instant thing for her I think it makes us appreciate their friendship more now.

Nick and Maya were making different faces for the camera. I chose this one to post because look at those lashes on Nick! He is such a hottie!

More scrunchy face from J

Maya had a play date with our neighbor, Laura. These two are about a year apart but they played so well together. They didn't need me around for 3 whole hours! I stuck close by but they wanted to play on their own. She had so much fun.

And, finally, to end this very random post, here is my "new kitchen". I painted it over Christmas break and actually completed a big paint project without Nick's help!
I used my Christmas money to get a new curtain rod and valance. It's still far from being done but it's much more livable now.

Maya's 9 month face is hilarious. Luke has also been doing the sniffy face thing lately. It's too cute.
I am not sure if he is going to crawl... he is able to kinda shimmy on his belly short distances, but he really is more interested in walking...all he wants to do is hold your hands and walk around the house... I can't keep up. LOL. He also loves to stick his tongue out and make 'fart' sounds. LOL... he cracks me up. Missing you guys... would be so much more fun if our boys were learning their new skills together.

Oh your babies are so cute! Love the paint job on the kitchen. What's the deal with the really smallish looking Christmas tree in your family picture? (he he:)

Cousin, your family is so adorable! I love the scrunchy faces! Also, Nick's eyelashes remind me of Lambchop's eyelashes because they're so dark and long, HAHA. I can't wait to meet your kiddles one day!
