On Monday we went to Kensington to see the farm animals. Maya was jumping up and down and was thrilled to be there, while Josh was content to sit in his stroller and point at the animals. He did make his way out a few times.
Maya got an ice cream and Josh had some (Dairy Free) Muddy Buddy's for a treat afterwards.
A few days later we went to a fun park that usually has ducks to feed. Maya decided to eat the bread when we couldn't find any lucky ducks.
We made caterpillars out of egg cartons while Josh took a long nap.
On Thursday we went to the zoo with our friends. What I love about having a zoo membership is that you don't have to rush and see all of the animals and exhibits when you go. We only saw a handful of animals this time because the kids were having so much fun in the frog water fountain and at the playground. It was a perfect day to go, the weather was awesome and not muggy at all! The drive home was horrible because it started to rain all of a sudden (crazy Michigan) and it was rush-hour but we still had a good day!
After dinner I got the kids bathed and they relaxed for a bit before bed. Love my babies!
Yesterday was a great day too. We woke up, cleaned out and organized the laundry room, Josh napped, then we went bowling, swimming at the rec center, and dinner at TGIF! (Thanks Chad and Lindsey) It was a perfect day and nice to just focus on our family on a Saturday, and not worry about what needs to get done. Didn't bring my camera for any of it though!
I have been trying to write down funny things that Maya says and does but I never seem to do it in the same notebook or piece of paper. There are scraps of paper that are all over the house with funny sayings on them. A few from yesterday:
"Guys! I was 'avle' to swim in the big part of the pool all by 'myselth'!"
She was using the half bath and talking to me in the kitchen while doing her business, she started getting silly and kept using the phrases, "Poopy Head" or "Poopy Monster", etc. and I finally lost it and told her to use better words. She replied, "Well, I like saying those words, they are funny. And besides, it's not such a big deal!"

You got so many cute pictures! So fun to see them! All mine turned out poorly. Glad you had fun at the zoo too. We sure did. But, yes, that drive home was horrendous. It took me over an hour to make the normally 20 minute trip. Must remember never to head home during rush hour again.
She is so funny. I love her haircut, I wanted to cut Ellie's, but she decided that she wants it long again, ugh.
