Today was Maya's last swim class at the rec. center. I dread every Thursday morning because I know she will fight me on taking her to class. You never know what her reaction will be. So, after encouraging her for awhile, she finally agreed to go since it was her last class. She has grown SO much as a swimmer, I just don't understand why she doesn't want to go to class because once she's there she does great. I think she loves being home and has a hard time leaving. Anyway, she can float on her back and kick all the way across the pool, jump in from the side and go under, and she's doing really well with kicking off the side and swimming under water. She says she would like to take the summer off from swimming.
J was a great supporter each week. This is kind of a crazy picture of him but I love how long his eyelashes are!
Good Job Maya! We are proud of you.
Josh also finished his class at the rec. center. We went each Monday while Maya was in school and learned about different sports and played with other 2 year olds. It was fun to spend time with just Josh. He is a fun kid and constantly makes me laugh. His favorite week was when the teacher brought in big wheel tricycles for them. He would get so excited when one would become available, but would only use it for a minute if other kids were waiting.
We love having the rec. center in our neighborhood!
