Maya started school on Tuesday and has been doing great so far. Up until the Friday before her first day she was not excited at all! She was really dreading it. I am so happy that she likes her teacher and looks forward to school every day. I hope she doesn't get burnt out too fast. Her teachers are wonderful and we love the school that she attends, we are so fortunate that she can go there. The only downside is that school starts so early...no more sleeping in for us! We have to be out of bed by 7:30 to get there by 8:15am. This morning (Sat.) we all slept until 8:30. I guess we needed to catch up on rest.
I can't believe Maya will be 5 in a few weeks! It will be so strange to say that we have a FIVE YEAR OLD! She already seems more mature and has grown up so much in the last week with school starting. Midway through a temper tantrum the other day she she said, "Oh. I guess I can't cry like that because I am in the five year old class now." That's right! We are in the midst of planning a super pink, super girly Hello Kitty birthday party. We love this girl!
