Father's Day

Nick is such a great father. Before Maya arrived he was always so scared and worried about becoming a dad, then she was born and it all just came naturally. I love how much compassion he has for our kids, he takes such good care of them. I love how gentle and sweet he is with his little boy but how fun and wild he gets with Maya. I love that even though he didn't really want a big family he is willing to let me have lots more babies....oh wait, that hasn't been agreed upon yet. :)

So for Father's Day, I had planned on surprising him with a round of golf with his buddies but we had some crazy weather and so we had to cancel that last minute. Then, after looking at the weather one more time, and hearing from Nick that all he wanted for FD was to go golfing, we decided it was "GAME ON" and so a golf outing was planned. The surprise was ruined but at least he got to go. The kids got him a huge collage that had pictures of them on it and a gift card to the golf range and I got him a new shirt, some yummy almonds, golf game, and a nice dinner on Sunday. Yes, he ended up cooking most of it but I'm not so good with the BBQ. We had flank steak, baked potatoes, salad, and a strawberry cake.

We love you Nick/Dad!!

Poor 2nd child! Nick got excited when it was time to open presents and left Josh to fend for himself.

After he opened his gifts Maya kept asking if we could go downstairs and dance.

We are loving our new basement even though we don't have any furniture down there yet. We like the big open space for Maya to run around and the guest room comes in handy when Nick is snoring at night.

Our little chunker!
